Is this really wood sorrel?

If you can make out the blurred image

From what I can see it looks similair, but you are a better judge than I. Compare what you saw with what is in this link

It appears very similar except for the deep red colour. I have only ever seen wood sorrel that is green with little red flecks on it

is that tarmac??

if it is close to a road it may be down to pollution, if that's the case steer well clear of it.

Yep, Leon-1 it is growing on the path leading to my front door. I only noticed it a couple of days ago!

And thanks Toddy from that link i think that it probably is Yellow Oxalis
