This thread has really intrigued me as I work In Opticians! Gotta say, great job wayland! They look like a great fit! Look great too. Gonna have to have a go.

What wood is it?

Great stuff.

Looks like working with wood is not a problem for you, very neat job and a nice peice of Beech.

Me missus says it must be like looking through the cracks of a cabin and that you'd get cabin fever using them! Lol.

It's not too bad actually.

They give roughly 20° angle of vision vertically compared to about 100° normally.

Our normal vision extends to about 180° horizontally because we have two eyes but I reckon the goggles reduce this to about 120° which could be improved by opening the slots further to the sides at the cost of letting in more glare.
