Indian Crook Knife (draw knife)

Help please. I have treated myself to one of these from Ben Orford. I have started using it and I think I have got the basics, but I think I need some tips / pointers / videos really to get the idea. Is anyone here proficient with one of these and can give some tips ?

I've got the same tool and like to plant my wrist on the wood and pull towards me with the fingers and a twist of the wrist.

The thumb ramp is quite handy for gentle push cuts I've found
