Ideas for a rusty old horse shoe?

I did a bit of a clear out this week in our garden and under an old porcelain sink I found a very rusty old horse shoe. I want to try and do something with it but it is very rusty. Other than putting it over a door or trying to make a knife from it are there any other things I could do with it that anyone may know of?
