i need some leather....

I want to make some leather bags for various things... tinder... keeping my bow drill in etc...

where can i buy sheets of ready made leather so i dont have to go and blow the head off a rabbit every time i fancy making something....

any ideas?

I started off cutting up old jackets from charity shops.

The unfashionable ones go for pennies, much cheaper than buying the leather.

If you pop into a leather furniture store, smile and use your gift of the gab you may be able to get a couple of bags of ex stock leather samples. I walked away with two full bags of leather and 4 bags of fabric.

For veg tan leather tandy are good if you get them on the phone. I got a 3.2 - 3.6 double shoulders grade 2 (Few marks etc, but very useable) for 40 quid, on the site 56 quid currently on sale.
