I think it would be great to see bow hunting in the UK. Here in Canada bow hunters are actually granted a longer season than Rifle hunters. How ever as in all of these activities there has to be some control on the activity. We have Fish @ Wildlife Police that patrol our backcountry they carry enough guns and ammo to suppress most angry poachers.
We also have quite an extensive hunter education course that you have to complete before you are even granted a license. Bow hunting could work in the Uk though I would perceive it would take some time, and much thought before it would be adopted.
