How to Clean Horn.

Hi all, whilst out with my dogs today I found a sheep's skull, complete with horns. The horns slid right off which surprised me, but then I got to thinking - I have a growing interest in stick making, and I could probably use the horn on a handle. One problem though...it's minging!
So I tried bleaching it and it's cleaned a fair bit of crap off them, but what's the proper (or easiest) way to clean the horn up to a useable condition?

leave it outside and let the insects do their job, bleaching it may have scuppered that tho'

warm soapy water with a a nail brush and just scrub scrub scrub dude...

If you live near any woods shove it in a wood ant nest they will pick it clean in no time.
Make sure you wire it to a tree or the foxs will have it. Used to do it with antlers all the time.
Possibly not after bleach but handy if you find some more
