So who is/was your hero? Why were they so? What if any effect did they have on your lives?
Mine is Douglas Bader. he lost his legs in an air crash before WW2 and went on to become one of the ace's of the Battle of Britain. He was shot down, taken prisoner, escaped sent to colditz and made more escape attempts and became known as a bother causer among his captors. Not bad for a man with no legs

It was his courage and determination which i admire and his ability to overcome everything placed before him. Also one of the reasons i reckon Bears a good bloke, broke his back then climbed everest. Same qualities imo.
