i have this rucksack and love it now the problem is i stood on the hip belt buckle a few weeks ago and the bit the buckle clips in to (if that makes sense) has cracked and well i have two questions

1 were do i get a new one

2 how do i replace it without damaging the integrity of the belt cos my sewing is very basic and it looks complicated

What you need is a 40mm side release buckle- http://www.rockrun.com/products/Standard-Side-Release-Buckle-40mm.html

Unthread/unstitch both halfs of your buckle, and replace with this. You will need to restitch the female end to the webbing tape on your waist belt- which should be simple, however, if you really don't want to, you could use a triglide to lock it in place:

Total cost just over £3.

I have made a guess from memory at the width of the webbing tape- which i think is 40mm- but if someone has a bergen to hand, it would be good if they could measure it to double check....
