Used to be a site 'camping for idiots' or similar which had spoof kit reviews and camping etc. Can't remember what it was called... any clues?

ah outdoor idiots was the name and it's been defunt for a few years. A big shame that! Can't access the archives it at work, does anyone have a site rip?

Seems they prevented the IA wayback machine from archiving the site before it went down.

they snapshot the web and can be a very useful tool, I use it a lot

Make sure no celebrity names are used or your thread gets closed, using celebrity names is against the rules I was told by a moderator today so keep posts away from using real names even in jest.

There is a difference between mentioning a celebrity name and posting potentially libellous material about a celebrity ( or anyone else ) which is where I believe your reference comes from, posting really ancient jokes in their own thread when there is an existing joke thread might also be a reason for a thread being closed though!
