Help! Gransfors Bruk Axe Eye Size

Hello all,

Am in the process of restoring an old blacksmith made axe and sadly I was unable to save the original handle. Would ordinarily make a handle myself but I haven't felled any Ash in awhile so I do't have any to hand.

However, was wondering if anyone happens to know if the smaller Gransfors Bruk axe handles would fit (ie Small Forest Axe down)?

I have been trying to find eye measurements for awhile now but alas to no avail. The eye size on the axe I am looking to re handle is- L: 5.5cm W: 2.2cm (at widest point).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

have just measured my spare SFA handle it is 50mm long and 18mm at widest point hope this info helps

Handle length: 35 cm

Thank you guys, I had a feeling they would be too small. However, I did manage to track down a Smedburg handle which I hope will fit.
