Hello from Scotland

Hi everyone,

Thought it would be polite to introduce myself as I'm new on the forum.

Name's Scott Maxwell and I'm based up in Edinburgh, commuting to Dundee and Aberdeen. Been a hiker since the age of about 10 (with the Scouts), then under my own steam, then on the odd exped and training with the UK Armed Forces (Royal Navy).

Interest is in wild camping, which I'm blogging about now (see sig, will avoid giving a link here ;-)

I have a wonderful wife who's also ex military and into wild camping, and three young children who will be, oh yes, one day they will be...

Anyway, hi!

Nice blog, although I'm not convinced it's a good idea to "advertise" wild camping sites. Not being elitist or snobbish, just that I have encountered more than my fair share of numpties that don't respect the environment.
