aldi outdoor kit in tomorrow 17th April. I can recommend the walking poles. I will be looking at the bamboo base layers and the walking socks which are usually excellent quality!

Do you know how long they extend to, Aldi say they collapse to 65cm, never had a walking pole before and was tempted with one that could be a bivvy pole in an emergency.

I don't know but usually a minimum of 125cm. I use walking poles as shelter poles too.

Apparently the waterproofing spray is highly recommended, meant to be as good as scotchguard.

Also Aldi french fries are excellent, taste nice and only 89p/kg

I use mine as a Bivvy pole, main reason I carry it. they extend to 135cm

Boots and shoes looked fairly pants too. The German chains used to offer good products at a fair price; that appears to be slipping.

Just picked up the water bladder ( a spare ) and walking sticks.

Poles are 67cm closed and open up to 1.04cm extended, all sizes from tip to toe.

Going to be used as back up bivvy poles. I already have a set of decent ones for walking.

went in yesterday, got two hats, two bladders and a rucksack. i wanted a couple of pairs of the polarised glasses as i always break loose mine so i dont buy expensive one but they were sold out
