Midsummer madness to you all. I am baking my usual festival loaf of bread, I do it for all of the major astronomical festivals, not because I'm religious but because it gives me a sense of connection to all of those people who have been before me.

Father's Day here as well. My kids each called this morning. Happy, healthy and successful.

Solstice. I love it. A physical constant that no gov't bean-counter can mess with.
Looooong Days here at 53N. Sister in Dawson City, YT, they get 6 weeks of no dark at all.
However.
The coming change in day length by the end of August, gets dark pretty quick. That's discouraging,
except for the fast approaching bird hunting seasons.
