Charlie! !.....has not only helped himself to the lettuce Himself cut up for his own lunch, but after another walk where he hoovered the lawn first and had the apple I chopped up for the birds, has just come in, knocked the wooden bowl of enormous tomatoes onto the floor and guzzled one of them....tomato juice everywhere and a smirking looking mutt !! 
and folks wonder why I prefer a cat ?

Happy Birthday Mary, sorry you missed the Moot, life has a way of spoiling things that we really want to do.
Good Morning and thank you kindly; it was a good day and the good wishes are appreciated
Charlie is my son's zoologist friend's dog; she works in the local animal centre. Means Charlie's alone all day, so when there's no one to nip in and see to him through the day, she frets. HWMBLT likes to walk miles every day, and Charlie's coming along for a few days. I could see it happening every so often, tbh.
Great mutt, just totally fixated on any food that's not inaccessible. He'd been abandoned at a shelter, fit and healthy, well cared for, but just tied up outside. From his behaviour, things like the way he cannot resist bus stops, gets all excited and looks like he expects to get on the bus, and he diverts into 'old men' pubs, they think he was the pet of an elderly man, but have no idea if the old man died, or was hospitalised
He has been beautifully socialised and very well trained; someone knew what he was doing
