Grassnakes (adult content)

Going to the kennel after work today I came upon three(!) grassnakes tangled together. One large and two small ones, my guess is a female and two males. I took another path home (the dogs would just try to eat them) and returned with my camera.
One male was already gone and the remaining two were ready to leave but I got a few pics.

Yeah, you are spot on. That is a large female and smaller male mating. Grass snakes can gather in balls this time of year, with a large group of males trying to woo the female.
