Hahaha, why would that bother anyone?
They're usually just accountants and school teachers having a mid-life crisis.
Great social experiment though.

Whilst in easy reach of the door I'd have shouted "Hey fatty You're in my seat, shift it" and then run.

We're on the same page there mate.

There are social classes and stratas of oiks it would seem :lmao:

Yup waste of good carbon and nylon most of em, could of been ropes or pencils.
I heard a great saying along the lines of "anyone who wears a tracksuit all the time should be made to run a marathon for charity."

Seen that vid before, hilarious! :D Social experiments are great. Get them out of their comfort zones lol

The scallies thing... just follow the rules you would with wild animals, territory, eye contact, don't flaunt things they might want etc and you're survival chances improve dramatically :D

You wander into a bar in Glasgow and say in a loud American accent "EXCUSE ME :D CAN I USE YOUR BATHROOM PLEASE?" and you're gonna get jumped, like in "train spotting" lol (also don't go train spotting haha)

But if you keep your mouth shut and wear what the locals wear, in this case "trackies" and shave your head, you blend into your environment and are therefore accepted more readily and are theoretically safer. Usually :) because if you spend any time in an area, you'll eventually plug into the local usually unspoken, but everyone knows it's there "hierarchy" and there's always some peanut who wants to test you. Then the other animal laws come into play. If you can't intimidate them, then fight or flight comes into play. Also tracksuits and short hair are survival gear on a lot of estates. You can't run in jeans as easily as tracksuits, which may save your life and long hair can be grabbed hold of.

Kids now know if you look weak you're going to be victimised, so they don't stand out, conform to the group and try to be seen as hard, out of fear. Scallies and skinheads could be seen as scum, but mostly they haven't got the option not to be like that, or they'd just get stomped. That cycle needs to be broken or this country will burn. Remove the ringleaders, bullies, dealers and give the kids coming up a chance to breathe and be themselves and give them decent, strong role models.

Rambling haha I just hate seeing my country fall apart. Part of the reason I think learning Bushcraft isn't just a good idea, it's vital.

Well said. I do actually feel sorry for all the oiks and rapscullions who have to blend in, stick your head out and its likely to get knocked off.
This is why it makes me so happy to see some of the kids of today with big daft trendy haircuts, finding NEMO`s or what ever they are called etc. Atleast trying to be a little different shows spirit and hope.

Too true that, and the post above. I have a mate that has a heart of gold and is soft as a kitten but looks a proper ned just to blend in where he lives because his life wouldn't be worth living if he didn't have that camouflage. Shame as he hates that way of life, I keep telling him it's time to relocate.

This will annoy some but I see chavs as the modern version of teds and the screamos as the new punks. Of course I could well be wrong but I'm sure it's all pretty interchangeable from each generation to the next. There's always a movement of some sort that some people don't like. It makes me laugh thinking about people in the future looking back at themselves wearing plastic clothes and looking the same and trying their best to act like wasters...
