Now a little while ago I bought some rather tasty knives from Mik AKA Penillon on British Blades, I posted them then but I can't resist putting another picture up now. I have made some sheaths for them...not in the same class as Mik's work but they keep the edges safe when I take them to work.

Well if you like Mik's knives you might like to have a look over on British Blades now because he has just put another beauty up for sale....this one. Damascus blade, maple, blackwood and mammoth ivory handle and what I can't understand is its cheaper than your average O1 woody.

Very nice Robin,

don't know about "not in the same class" don't look much wrong with them to me, they compliment the knives very well:cool:

I love Pennillion's knives he makes some really great looking stuff.

I saw some of Mik's knives this weekend, exceptionally beautiful and some very original combinations and use of materials.

I do like the look of your knives too Mr Shing. I particularly like that you work with some different steels. I am not sure if the general buyer realises how cheap and easy O1 is to work with compared say to D2 but I personally find D2 to be a great steel for my turning tools where toughness and edge retention is important, I find blades that rust very easily a hassle too.
