We were walking in an aboriginal village when my friend noticed this Golden Orb Spider wrapping up her packed lunch.
You can see how the web strands are golden giving the spider its name. Legs and all she was as long as my wrist to finger tips but I wasnt going to place her on my hand to show you.
Lunch was a type of wasp/hornet one and a half inches long with a powerful sting. She did had to be careful to avoid becoming a victim herself.
At the end of the video, she turns to face John who she now sees as a threat. Apparently they make the web bounce before jumping to get better distance.
After bundling up the lunch she carried it below her and climbed up to the larder.
