Getting ready for my first outting :)

Well had some time to put some of the new kit together so armed with a little knowledge and kit................ i proceeded to see if what i wanted to do would work......

i started with
1) TW hammock (Hornet Hammock Double Long zip model)
2) Storm rings for said hammmock
3) Whoopie slings from UKHAMMOCKS
4) Hammock Sleeve DD Hammocks

fitted it all together and it looks ok.... will be going out with the family tomorrow to see if i can get it on a tree and see how it performs

+1 to that. Fancy trying a hammock some time. Fear of looking a fool is one turn off, ie falling out when trying to get in

I've yet to see someone fall out of a hammock that's been set up properly.

Open out the centre of the hammock and park your bum in it, you will never fall out that way. Lie slightly diagonally and shuffle around a bit until everything is supported comfortably. Pitch the foot end a little bit higher and this will stop you sliding down in the hammock. Enjoy!

Lol. There you go, life is stranger than fiction. Wish I were out this weekend, but I have the inlaws round. Have a great time Cade, you've got the weather for it.

I fell out of a properly set up hammock. it was the dead tree I'd attached it to that failed

and no i didn't fall out, however i did learn that i have the hammock alot higher than i thought i would........ but its all good now.
