Gerry Rafferty dies

Gerry Rafferty has died.

A short and troubled life according to the obituary.

The name may not mean much to all you youngsters, but some folks of a certain age will remember that he produced some fabulous music.

sad to hear about Gerry, amazing music. Bakerstreet tbh i heard later on, it was stuck in the middle with stealers wheel i first heard.
bakerstreet is a total classic mind, as is Right down the line.

It was only when I read through his obituary that I learned he was from Warrington, I'd always thought he was Irish, possibly from having seen his performance in 'In the Name of the Father'. A great loss to the acting world.

Recorded most of his stuff in Chipping Norton, Cotswalds. Six pubs with only 1 duke box between them and a crappy chinese retaurant. If Gerry had wanted the quiet life he certainly could get it there,not in a hurry to go back to the cotswalds.
