a pound coin
an opinel i though i had lost

TWENTY QUID:D
a mars bar
some fluff
a receipt for the mars bar and a bottle of water

does anyone else leave this sort of stuff lying around and then find it at oppurtune moments?

Nathan

Don`t suppose you found a grey thinsulate hat in there did you Nat ? I think the sock monster who lives in the washing machine must have nicked mine.

Find the odd £5 note from time to time, otherwise it`s usually birch bark and dried up mushrooms.

I found a soup from the last midlands meet in mine, a spork, Phils asma medication and a bag of blue mold that I didnt even dare investigate further!

:lmao:

Kirby grips, thimbles and muesli bars  Random bits of cordage and dried up leaves.
Nothing so useful as a £20 note :sigh:

cheers,
Toddy

Looking through my sack about a month after a hill I found a Mars Bar! A quick snaffle later and I looked in my missus' bag, she had one too.

It was a good day.

What, you mean that there is a different way of storing stuff!!!

I thought there was supposed to be this cyclic denial of various items so that you get used to working without it - or use it as an excuse to buy more!

Ah well, live and learn.

Shewie, long shot..................but don't suppose you attended the Canada Exp in Leeds in Nov?.................well i told you it would be a long shot!

Anywho....i happen to come across a grey thinsulate hat on my way out on the floor, noone had asked if it had been handed in at reception. So being late on the Sunday afternoon i didn't think anyone would ask for it.

I still have it, it's been washed so i could send it to you if you like. (free obviously!)

The flat Mars bar is a well-known rucksack denizen. Some have speculated that they breed in the dark, humid environment, but this has never been observed.

Personally, I always empty my pack within 24hrs of getting home - usually immediately - I find it prevents unpleasant surprises. However, pockets are a different matter... ;)

No mate not me, I think it must either be in a wood near Grassington or up on High Street in the Lakes.

an opinel i though i had lost

I'm just about to replace an opinel I have lost in one of my many bags, boxes and drawers. Knowing my luck it will turn up right after the new one arrives. :aargh4:

Midgie nets:rolleyes:. I must have half a dozen midgie nets and they're all scattered about in rucksack and jacket pockets. There's one in the underseat pocket of my wee canoe and another stuffed in the bottom of my fishing rod bag.

One pocket on my rucksack hasn't been emptied in years. I'm almost scared to put my hand in it these days. There's a midgie net(of course), a bundle of 120lb spiderwire line(my paracord equivalent handy cordage), one of those dinky little folding knives with an led map torch built in, a spinner with corked hooks(I hope), probably a lighter or two.....

Had a friend who found a kebab in his jacket.
He'd bought it, stuffed it in his jacket and it fell through the lining. By the time he'd got home he forgot all about it.
And there it festered.
Until a couple of weeks later, in the pub (again) he felt a lump in his jacket. Had a rummage and voila! A kebab!
What young chap wouldn't be happy with that!?
