Bread - buttered to a micron or two. Then rake some grooves in the butter with fork tines and splash on Worchestshireshires sauce.
Other way is better; worcestershiresause on the bread. Let it soak in for a few seconds and then butter on top.
I often dab some hot sauce on the bread and then on top the rest.

When my Mum first met my Dad’s parents, she remarked to her future father-in-law whilst he was sat eating a plate of cheese on biscuit: “Ooh, that’s a good old chunk of cheese. I like it”

To which he replied: “Cheese? It’s butter”

Cheap crabsticks, cut in chunks, Mix some tommy-K with Mayo , hint of cayenne cover the the surimi sawdust with it - place in some bread - slices or baguette.

Now - close your eyes , take a bite and hey presto!!! Faux Lobster sarnie! :)
I believe the term is now “seafood sticks” as they may or may not contain crab…

When I was very young, I remember my Granny and Grandpa coming over for lunch during the week fairly often and one of the sandwiches of choice was brown bread with crab sticks and salad cream. This isn’t something I’ve felt the need to recreate in my adult life, I have to say.

Now a crab meat sandwich (preferably by the sea, freshly prepared) yes, crab stick? not something I've ever taken to :)

Ask your butler to make one and have a bit of a side by side diet-or-pepsi type challenge.

Different pockets - different tastes. :)

What is a crab stick ? is it like a fish finger ?

Not really . Probably worse.

Its basically the scrapings and sawdust of fish processing mixed with some starch , set into 'sticks' and given some bright red lipstick colouring ontop for no fathomable reason.

I guess its a marmite thing - you either like them or not.

I was certainly partial, along with prawns in a poly cup and the occasional “seafood salad” often from a van, often miles from the sea

Low cost protein. I use them as a fridge nibble. Never thought of them in a butty!

I have. Start by unrolling a stick.

Then I drip the bread with some lemonjuice or hot sauce. And next spread on the bread some Kalles Kaviar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalles_Kaviar

And finally on top of the bread the unrolled crabstick

There is absolutly a reason (you hear it allready in the name "crabstick"), imitating the color of crabs.

Yes thanks....

But it add ZERO flavour to the product . Its not like the red dye has any concentrated flavour to enhance the experience, which would potentially make the experience even more spectacular.
