Favourite bushcraft quotes

On taking a friend on her first camping experience, she was unable to light a dispo-bbq (seriously)

"You can't even make fire ***, we're gonna die!"

Current fave "What would Ragnar Luthbrook do?"

"If we still lived in caves I'd be the one that survived." (In response to being overweight)

I believe this is an old Russian military phrase, but it's one of my faves:

"There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment."

The old "Not all those who wander are lost" is a classic too.

“The man who goes afoot, prepared to camp anywhere and in any wether, is the most independent fellow on earth. He can follow his bent, obey the whim of the hour, do what he pleases whenever he pleases, without deference to anybody, or care for any beast of burden or obedience to the course of any current. He is footloose and free. Where neither horse nor boat can go, he can go, seeing country that no other kind of traveler ever sees.”

Alone now.
Here's one that I saw the other day and rings true for me.

Bushcraft: Where you spend a small fortune, to live like a homeless person.

Here's another not strictly Bushcraft.
