I have always liked the final scene in the film "Dark Star" where, having seen their starship blown up by a nuclear explosion, the last two survivors are blown apart. One joins a group of asteroids; the other surfs his way to a fiery death on entering the atmosphere of the planet below.
One of the last lines in the film is, "What a beautiful way to die, as a falling star". I have always been interested in space so perhaps in the not-too-distant future someone will offer a service where ashes are sent up in a rocket, and scattered in space to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere as a meteor shower.
Other than that, ecoburial is the most likely option for me.
I don't think this is a morbid thread; as bushcrafters we should know that everything has a course to run and that death is inevitable. Our society tries to sanitise the whole thing but really it is just a normal part of nature.
Best wishes
