Since I've had tons of spare time recently I decided to buy a sewing machine of ebay and have a go at making things. I started with a few stuff sacks but then set my sights on something a little more challenging. I decided to butcher my 58 down sleeping bag and take all the down out to make an UQ. I won't bore you with to much waffle so here's a few pics of my progress. I used pertex 4 which is windproof and down proof and midge net for the baffles.

Nice work. I was considering 'over-stuffing' my Synthetic UQ with down from an old sleeping bag. Haven't quite built up the courage yet!
