Hi

So barbecue day today and I didn't want to waste the tray, grill and stand

So I cut the grill in half ( and bloody cut my finger in the progress!) then wrapped the tray around it then wrapped some foil around for good measure,i made a paper clip out of wire till I get a large paper clip.

Seems to work o.k,it's fairly stable and seems to funnel the heat up to the pot, holds my ss Teapot and my zebra lunchpot,so just need to take my Trangia,windshield/pot stand, fuel and cooking pot, should be fairly lightweight, if I'm wild camping I'm planning on just taking my kettle for hot chocolate at night and a coffee and a biscuit in the morning.

Pics don't work,so I'll include links

Going to pick up the trivets from the backpacking light place and give them a try,i have a pocket stove but Im enjoying trialling other methods.

It is the grill from a disposable barbecue, weighs 50g,with trangia 124g with ss kettle 280g.

Not sure about vargo weight?

Doubt it's stainless, the grill is simply wrapped in the disposable barbecue foil.

Also instead of securing it with paperclips I used bulldog clips, litter tiny ones,I use three to give the pot a stable base to rest on.

Hope that helps

Buster
