Hi!
can anyone recomend a source of relatively small (6inch ish?) dipped bees wax candles to go in this? The style is early 19th C American.

When I can fashion a mould I'll make some tallow jobs with the wick material Toddy kindly sent but in the meantime some period wax jobs would be just the job.

If you have enough 'fuel' (tallow, wax etc.) why not dip them yourself? No need ofr a mould then I'm thinking of trying this soon, when I can get hold of some more beeswax.

Hi Matt
I just don't have enouigh materials at the moment or I would indeed be having a go myself. I'm down to about a pound of mutton tallow and about half a marge tub of bees wax (1/2 lb?) from the appiary in Wales we went to in the summer. Dipping seams to require a large amount.

Moulds have a long history and seam the way to go for small numbers we require

I'm looking for something like

but ideally from the UK.
