Hello,

Has anyone used either of these quilts or even better can compare then? Which is warmest and which packs smallest?
Would be for spring/summer/autumn hammocking in Scotland, and using the DD underquilt with it.
Just doing some research for a christmas prezzie!

Thanks,
Lynsey

I have the snugpak top quilt (the newer Chinese made version) and while sleeping gear recommendations are very subjective I'd say it's adequate for all but the coldest winter nights in the UK. I use it conjunction with a snugpak underquilt.
Not sure how it compares to the DD topquilt although I can say the Snugpak underquilt (not top quilt) is larger and warmer (and twice the price) than the DD underquilt, although the design is very similar after that.

*Edit* Tried to clarify what I was saying about underquilts.

Well, the DD quilt is 875g, synthetic silk and £45, the Snugpak quilt is 820g, softie filling and £40. They are completely different designs though. Not sure which one packs smallest from the blurb. I suppose it would be down to which one is warmest with the similar specs!
