Just finished handling the blank I bought from Dave at the moot.

Tiger maple scales with 4.5mm brass pins (thanks for them Gweedo) and just a wipe over of linseed oil to see how it comes out.

I'm rather please so far :) It's going to go in to soak for a couple days followed by a good polish and hopefully it ought to come up even better then it'll go off to have some clothing made for it :D

Great blade and handle Steve, bring it along to the meet, there's a good fellow :)

thats very nice mate
one of these days i'll build up the nerve to try handling a blade

It's so simple you'll wonder why you didn't do it before. Just see if you can answer these questions:

Do you have a vise or something similar like a workmate
Do you have a drill (electric or hand)
Can you mix epoxy glue
Can you use files
Can you use sandpaper

If you can answer yes to all the above then there's no reason why you can't handle a knife. There's plenty of tutorials around and folks who'd help out with any queries you might have so go for it :)
