I think that it´s a crack after harding the axe . Or bad temper so the edge are to hard. But I go for crack after harding .And you shall not have any problem to get a new one on warrenty .

I have just heard back from GB - They say take the axe back to the shop and they will replace it!

That means the Scouts get a new axe for Christmas!

It's great to see that kind of service.

For the cost price of an SFA and postage (not much), they've secured word-of-mouth recommendations for everyone you get a chance to tell and will probably sell 20 more axes this year.

It's the simplest thing in the world so why don't more companies do it?

Nice one.

They have suprised me over all the years that I have been dealing with them when it comes to the level of customer service that they give and their expectations of quality. Considering I spend a lot of time looking at quality within all sorts of companies, I wish more were like GB.

I guess that it comes down to the fact that they are proud of their product and their company.
