Crook knife sharpening advice

I'm a great fan of waterstones and have a couple from Axminster for sharpening my knives. However, what should I get when it comes to sharpening my crook knife?
Edit. I should have added that advice on sharpening a spoon knife would also be appreciated.Sorry

I learned how to sharpen hook or crooked knives from a guy who'd learned how in prison. A lot of great carvers in Canadian prisons. 3% of Canada's population is native and 60% of the Canadian prison population is native. Go figure.http://www.caribooblades.com/crookedknifesharpen.html

All of my spoon carving hooks are sharpened using wet n dry. Wrap around a flat stick for the outside and then around a dowel to remove the burr on the inside

If you decide to strop with your thumb (as I often do) PLEASE be careful not to skin yourself!

Sand papers are the way to go but you will round your edge. Rounded edges are ok on wood but rounded edges are hard to sharpen. To get the edge back flat again a flat and a cone stone is the way to go. You really want your hook knife to be aggressive for control.
