Council tool axes

I'v seen a review of a "velvicut" axe which looked to be pretty good.....if thats any help to ya

You'll just have to buy one and tell us about it mate :D

Thanks folks, thought I might need one to cut through the tumble weeds on this thread !.

I've seen them on ebay, Mary & thought the price was to good to be true, so wanted to find out if anyone had one. My fear is that they turn out to made somewhere in the far east, but it does say American made.

Sundog, if I have a drink tonight, there may well be another drunken ebay purchase......

The velvicut range are better finished and use better (harder) steel than the standard council tool axes... the standard ones come in about 53/54rc and the velvicut about 57/58 iirc.... just look at them as standard and premium quality...
