This one's a just harmless Garter Snake. But not all of them are.

Yikes! I had a (considerably less dramatic) experience lately. I was on a very soggy camp in Wales, and I got up to answer a call of nature. I put my boots on.Squish. I then realised I had forgotten to check for slugs. Yuck. Not the nicest thing I've trodden on.

South east Scotland.
A mummified frog was my only real interesting find, had spiders etc, I went to put on a pair of wellingtons id not had used for ages felt this weird thing in there emptied them out and this dried up frog fell out. I can only assume it got in there some how couldn't get out and because they had not been used for a long time it had dried up.

Oddly enough, the ones pictured are (relatively) square toed and short heeled. :) True riding boots have higher heels and pointier toes.

Not here - these are riding boots (in England) :) Cowboy boots are for girls when line dancing here ;)

Pretty much the same for cowboy boots here. Weird how it varies huh? :)

(BTW - why were you in the Blue Oyster Bar?)

yup weird....dunno what it is....cowboys are kool....in my younger days huge fan of sir eastwood and the spaghettis....etc etc....but whenever i see someone wearing cowboy boots...however butch, trailhardened, weatherbeaten and tough they may be....i always laugh....i've absolutely nothing against cowboy boots, nor do i have any deep seated reason or experience that makes me find them so funny...i simply find them funny looking and hilarious and i've no idea why....

maybe i need professional help about this. sorry.

If you really want a laugh, watch somebody wearing them for the first time try to walk.
