Can anyone please suggest a source for Cheap ( sub £30 a pair ) , light ( as in light in fabric , not heavy on the legs) and in a natural material . Zipped lower half for turning into Shorts would nice but essential.
how about charity shop tweeds? i've found quite a few goodens in my local shop, and my MIL has found me some in here's near Melksham, all ways worth a try.
In this warm weather - I wear either a pair of half-weight german combats (from Kev at Endicotts - just ask he knows which ones I use) or if it is very hot a loose pair of linen trousers.
I have several pairs, baggy, airy and cheap - try your local Branch of Next. Last yearI got a pair from them in olive green with a draw cord waist. Loose enough to roll up if you need to.
Hope this helps
Neil
Any of the Eco fibre sites will sell linen, bamboo or hemp trousers. Incredibly comfortable and usually in good neutral colours.
I googled and found about a dozen British sites
I normally wear combat or cargo pants at work and at home. I've been wearing a pair of brown 'Chinos' (M&S -cool!) this week that I wore at my old job.
They do feel amazingly light compared with my normal trousers -& not only because I can't fit half of the usual cargo in them.
Craggs, the Kiwi's with zip off, you can get em for sub £20 online if you look, i love my crags, feels like i'm not actually wearing anything (i always have to check before i leave the house...)
Just got some great 100% linen trousers from Tesco. Was up for £18 but had tiny mark so got for £14. Well made and dead comfy with roll up tabs too. Gonna look out for end of season sale and buy more..
