Reloading? That's the problem. I did try progressive reloading and it was nearly addictive.
However
Hulls and wads and primers and shot and powder are all sold in miss-matched quantities.
I worked it out: to have loaded shells and no supplies left over at all, 5,000 shells or more.
I was no big-time shooter. Maybe 20 flats, tops, per year for trap. Only once was 10,000 rounds of .22cal in a year.
For big bore, I found a paraplegic vet to hand load for me for 7mm/.308 IHMSA pistol.
I suppose you could melt old wheel balancing weights and use a ball mold for catapult ammo?
What? .45 cal or .50 cal??
