Carving a Netting Gauge and Netting Needle

I find a chain start to be the easiest method. Plenty of stuff on you tube. It's how I made my backpack.

Hi everyone,

I've finished carving my needle now, I've put it in a paper bag to slowly dry it out. Once I've sanded it I'll post a pic.

Many thanks for that. I looked in my selection of books by Ray Mears, Antonio Ackermans, Mors Kochanski and a selection of others but found nothing. Even the Richard Graves book was pretty hopeless: an absolute minimum of writing and some strange, indistinct illustrations to confuse things further! Initial inspection of this link seems really good - clear and genuinely useful. Many thanks once again!
