Car boot sales

It seems car boot sales is the place to get some serious bargains especially if you know what you are looking at.

Does anybody have any recommendations for car boot sales where there are regular army surplus sellers?

I've been to quite a few car boot fairs and can't say I've ever seen a seller that dealt exclusively in army surplus.

It tends to be sellers with surplus bits that they're selling either because they've been in the military, cadets or done a house clearance.

or fake army surplus.

But they are best for getting all sorts of treasures.

What was your ultimate find at a car booty thus far?!

My ultimate find was a full set of almost new chainsaw.. (used once) and full protective kit that fitted me for £50.

A couple of Eva Rosentand cross stich kits that I picked up for a fiver and sold on for just over £100 each. Turned out they were part of a limited edition series that had been discontinued years earlier.

Just don't mention bloody car boots to be right now! My boot wont bloody open so had to climb through from inside and hit emergency release. Part ordered so should be able to fix this in couple of days hopefully
