I grabbed one of these little brass candle/oil lanterns and they are brilliant, delivered in no time and a great little product for the money.

no springs, minimal cleaning and cheap buy and get candles for (Ikea do packs of 100 for a few quid)

I left mine in Finland and regret it.

used to have a copy UCO but it bust now i use a jam jar with a paracord handle and small candles...

I have a UCO mini. It's solid, well made, and very useful- especially in a "low-light" environment (ie: there aren't large lanterns or large flaming fires close by ruining one's low-light vision). However, I wouldn't pay a lot for one as a baby-food jar with a wire bail attached would probably serve comparably well at no cost at all.

Ah, those canal barge lamps do look nice though. I may have to look further into those.
