Look at Axminster catalogue, page 486, engineers' files.
Valorbe parallel 10" b*****d cut, £2.41
valorbe parallel 8" second cut £3.53
valorbe parallel 8" smooth cut £3.82

For the curves I would use half round files, I would use second and smooth cut.
and then perhaps some needles files can also be useful.

Oh, and a "file cleaning card" is very useful, as the files can clog up easily and make some nasty deep scratches, if a large bit of metal gets stuck. :D

I don't know if Axminster do them as I bought mine from a local ironmongers, but my Nicholson Files have proven to be an excellent investment. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting a good quality file.
As is the norm with buying tools, the one thing I'd always say to buy the very best you can afford. Cheap tools tend to be just that, cheap. A good quality tool should last far longer than a succession of cheaper alternatives that end up costing more in the long run.
