Not sure it's your thing but I used to eat fig rolls. They seemed to last for a long time and when out and about they are very good for giving you long term energy. I used to do long walks with two packs emptied into a large plastic bag.
I used to like them a lot but I ate too many and got sick of them. So I stopped taking them. The funny thing about that, I stopped getting bouts of the squits when pushing myself on long walks after I stopped eating . Coincidence or related? I do not know for sure but I think that is a risk.
