.Ive Chased buzzards in the past For a good picture but having just a basic camera and lens I’ve always struggled...however the purchase of a good Nikon camera DSLR and a tamron 150-600m lens gave me hope that one day......I took this photograph back in August in Cornwall on a coastal walk from the lizard point to kynance cove.
Very pleased I was when I saw one below me and managed to capture this beautiful bird....Hope you like it!

Great shots Wulf, lovely markings.

Stunning birds, fortunately there's not many days when I don't see a 'tourist eagle' ;)

I think it was worth the cost of the camera :)

Beautiful photos
I see them flying overhead here most afternoons, but they are so high that I need binos to see any detail on them, and nothing like that. I've never seen them from above.
Aren't they beautiful ?

Thank you for sharing :)

absolutely beautiful yes.I see a few local to me but as like you they are too high.....to capture from above it was just amazing showing it’s lovely plumage.
For me the camera and lens has paid for itself already :shameful:

That is a seldom seen angle, it does have white in strange places. Does look like a buzzard though. Good shot.

The ‘eek’ sound it was Making was very unique to the buzzard mate.....luckily for me I was above to capture the beautiful colours.

These were two shots I took from below as it climbed on the thermals.

Nice shots!

We are very fortunate to see them every day here and their colours and patterns vary a great deal. We have one around this year that is almost totally white on the underside.

You are blessed my friend.:)

Really clear :)

That's what I see of the ones here. Surprisingly light. There are three just now, and I'm pretty sure that two of them are the pair that were doing the talon gripping gyre aerial ballet much earlier in the year. I wondered if the third one was their chick.

Pretty normal markings and colouring for our buzzards to be honest; though, as I said a great deal of variety.
Nice shots. Not the easiest to capture at any time, either. We have quite a few buzzards around here, and recently in the field behind our place they have been out in force, following the tractors. One of these two was very pale though:

That shot was at the far end of a 600mm lens, and then cropped out of a bigger frame, so you did very well to get in close Wulf :)

The opportunity doesn’t come too often from above so it wasn’t to be missed.
Today at work there was six flying around quite low all calling but my camera was at my side....lovely to see!
