First post, be gentle with me!
I gather that though it was suggested that the Mammock should be scrapped after two years of use, it may in fact be utilized in some way for the Bushcraft Olympics.
It was nice to see we didn't have any real injuries at this meet, I can't see us getting away with such good fortune next year looking at some of the suggestions so far!!
How about we rig up a death slide or even a hammock slide? There are enough high points to get a good run and I'm sure we have enough expertise among us to make an impressive one that is as safe as houses, though perhaps there should be an alcohol breath test before going on it!! I suggest we test it with the gimp hanging from his ankles! The head cage should provide adequate crash dummy protection!
We could build some fires under the run to make it a little more challenging, keep those legs up and together!! Or even a ring of fire. It may singe the short and sandal wearers a little. Of course another challenge would be to put the fire out on the way down!! How you do that would be up to you but perhaps we should cover the children's eyes!! I fun one is to have a candle and a mug of water and you have to extinguish the flame on the way past. Either that or you have to carry a flaming torch and light the oil drum as you fly over the top of it! Kevlar fire balls are fun but you need to wear some welding gloves or be able to juggle really well!
I'd certainly vote for air-rifle and/or archery. Confectionery catapult is something I'd have to start practicing now though!
If we are doing fire from friction then I'm bringing my 12V Bowsh Drill!! I'd vote for a flint and steel first to fire comp. I actually had success with that one!
Dave's idea of Landrover roof rack surfing was impressive or would have been if he had actually stood up and stopped screaming like a girl!

I thought you were just supposed to jump the oncoming branches, that is how Indie does it. I was expecting him to to sail over the heads of those in the trailer any minute and land on the forest track behind us!
Another comp. could be sawing/cutting through a 6" horizontal or vertical tree with a specified method or one of you choice. Anything with a motor is banned! Having watched Longstrider I think even something motorised isn't likely to beat him! Perhaps Ian should be restricted to a sharpened Spork to give the rest of us a chance! I bet he could get a good edge on a Ti, not something you'd want to eat you porridge with though! Seasoned Oak for Ian, fresh Pine or Sycamore for the rest of us!
I like the Dutch putt idea Barn Owl, the lid could be used for discus or ' real man's ' frisbee relay! Frisbee relay along the forest tracks could be laugh. You can't take more than one step or throw with the frisbee. Another one would be a fire relay for a mile. Light the Kelly kettle and burn through the suspension/spring trap string to win! First one to get the bunny off the ground!
Or, boil the perfect dippy egg in a paper bag including warm buttered toast soldiers! To be presented to the judge with a soldier dipped and standing to attention, a pinch of salt and pepper to season. Any natural fuel stove of your choice from cold. I volunteer to judge this one.
How about the first to bring a cup of sweat milky brew to 85 degrees from scratch using only the forest floor, a firesteel, natural tinder and wood? Taste test to confirm.
Most activities could be standardised, but some left open to fair improvisation and interpretation, giving opportunity for innovation/personal preference. ie dippy egg stove choice.
I could go on for hours but then some of you know that already!!!!
