Any Bronzesmiths out here? Anyone prepared to cast a sickle?

I can find a market if the results are good.

cheers,
Toddy

I have just spent a weekend with Neil Burridge at The Wilderness Trust in Powys, where Neil was running a course in casting bronze age axes. It was a fantastic experience and all ten of us on the course are now the very proud owners of our very own EBA flanged bronze axe heads. I believe Neil is giving an axe casting demonstration at Stover Country Park near Newton Abbott in Devon this coming Sunday for anyone who wants to see magic at work.

Can bronze be forged? I can only assume so.

I think I'll have a go with the bronze I've got in the garage.

Mary - if it works do you want me to send you one?

Oh yes please :D

Did you see the photographs I had of the *toybox* that Historic Scotland had made for me to work with round the schools ?
That's the little sickle I meant.

Cheers Mary.

I'll have a play and see what I can do. I've got a couple of lumps of bronze sitting about.
