This is legendary. "but still they come!" One evening when I was going through some old stuff to clear out I found this on a double cassette. Stoppped me and my brother in our tracks. Cracked open a brew got nothing done for a while. Great stuff.

Great to see you guys are still having the craic anyways. Are there any trees left in Brockers? Any photos?

think vandeen took some, definitely got some of my sawn open thumb and the ensuing claret.
been some long overdue thinning so still plenty of wood and the ground flora has benefitted from the light too.

Thanks for a fab weekend all, looking forward to my next outing already.

Nice chilled and mellow times, respects paid & worlds righted.

Now as requested, on to the entertainment, Jamie in his attempt to display "unreasonable enthusiasm" went at it like a dog at broth, and within minutes had drawn blood, fortunately his own :p. Or as Merrygold85's quote from our outing a couple of years ago "your not camping if you're not bleeding"

Fortunately with a bit of bandaging he managed to look like the camp simpleton with his thumb stuck up.

It only looked like a trickle on the thumb itself

But..... the evidence shows otherwise

Quite the crime scene eh?

Fortunately he'd come well prepared for such events

Despite his injury he continued and built his camp chair which he later fell off.

He wasn't the only one to hit the deck this meet though, I beat him to it firstly with the aid of the stitching on a tree strap giving way, & then secondly not putting a safety stopper in when rigging my net hammock chair.

Dday did a sterling job once again with his camp kitchen, & chauffeuring duties for another beer run.

Tobias helped providing entertainment & music that us oldies may normally not be exposed to.

And Nathan provided stories & also the motivation I needed to do bow drill again, and nobody filmed me.

& I, well I wore my "silly hat", the song that kept coming to mind was "this isn't the best hat in the world, this is just a tribute" quite fitting really.

Ike & his Mrs also wished me to pass on their condolences, as did Penny and Nick from DD Hammocks, from when I spoke to them earlier in the week. He was certainly well known.

Cheers all, in body and in spirit.

Till the next time....
