Evening all,

Doing a bit of research on No 12 stoves, wondering if anyone has one or any opinions on them.

Noisy and messy from my understanding. I have searched the forum but minimal info.

Loud, high heat, simmer well, fantastic windshield, cleanly burns paraffin, messier burning diesel, large stainless steel fuel tank, all brass burner, well made, takes some spares from Optimus stoves (cleaning needle and pump washer), lid can fold flat so you can use a bigger pan fantastic stove, get one asap, I love both mine.

I have one, just acquired it never had to use one. Does it run better off paraffin or another fuel instead of diesel?

Paraffin is by far the best fuel to use. These stoves are frugal, a £6 4l bottle of paraffin will give you a LOT longer cooking time than gas canisters.
