Box hedge advice please

Good morning, hopefully there some kind gardeners that can help, later last year I planting a box hedging around our front garden, every plant is doing great with lots of shoots looking like this

But there's just one that's struggling and hasn't done anything and is clearly a darker green with no shoots this one

They all have manure around them and are watered daily.
Is it a lost cause or is there any thing I can do to save it?

I'd be inclined to have that one out and plant a new one. Be a bit cautious about watering box because it doesn't like being too wet.

I agree on the over watering. That one may "kick in" later, but my experience (we have planted box hedging too although ours is a few years older) is that when an odd plant looks sick it seldom recovers. Given you will be clipping them, even a small replacement soon catches up

Hello, it could be Box blight, seems to be a lot around this year. Look it up. not good.

i think best bet is too wip it out and put a new one in as there's not a shoot In sight, I usually give them one watering can average size between about 15 plants just over football size, does that sound about right?

I wondered about that although it doesn't look too sick yet, just not growing. All the more reason to get that one out quickly.
