Some interesting stuff there. I've always wanted to make a bow. It's a pity they don't seem to have any native staves though. I'd have hoped there would have been some Ash or yew available, but hey ho, I need to learn how to make one first before complaining about the materials.
Give him a call and see if he can get any. I've met him and his wife and they are very friendly and he has a nice 3D course.
I'd stay away from native yew as it's very knobbly and not that great. I've only made my kids bows out of it and that was bad enough (although I'm not that great a bowyer either!!)
