Bit horn work and scratching!!

Made a grease horn or bodkin holder for a basket maker friend.

Still having problem with ink bleed even after trying superglue and wax polish.

Yup. I think they may have done like the scrimshanders and used lamp black in wax

Look for the decorative technique called kolrosing. Maybe some pigment ideas.

Robson Valley I was thinking about cinnamon powder. Will be giving it a go as I've got more horns coming.

I tried candle soot but it never took very well.
