Billhook for me too.
A machete is all well and good for a jungle where lots of slashing is required to clear you way - but a billhook will do all that you require and more.
I did about 3 months of hurdle making a couple of years back - would have been a lot harder with a machete. - but then it is horses for courses.
got to be a billhook around camp for me.
